Son Tra Peninsula is an island 13 kilometers away from the center of Da Nang, Vietnam. It is 15 kilometers long, 5 kilometers at its widest point, 1 kilometer at its narrowest point, and has a peak of 696 meters. It has 4370 hectares of virgin forest. Rare animals include Java monkeys, long-tailed monkeys, red-faced chickens, etc. The peninsula has undulating hills, lush forests, and is home to birds and animals. It has been designated as a forest reserve.
