Description
Jakarta Bird Land is a bird park inside the Ancol Dreamland complex, on the beachfront of North Jakarta. It has exotic and endemic tropical birds from across Indonesia and other tropical regions, and it is one of the few dedicated bird parks in Jakarta.
Walk-through aviaries and themed enclosures house parrots, hornbills, birds of paradise, flamingos, peacocks and many other tropical species. You can hand-feed selected birds, pose for photos with trained birds perched on your arm, and watch scheduled daily bird shows where trained birds show their intelligence, agility and behaviour.
A visit typically takes 1.5 to 3 hours, and it is easy to combine with other Ancol attractions such as Dufan, Atlantis Water Adventure and Sea World. You need the standard Ancol complex entry ticket as well as Jakarta Bird Land admission. The park is open daily and you can reach it by private vehicle, taxi or public transport from central Jakarta.
