Description
Dubai Butterfly Garden is the world's largest covered butterfly garden, next to Dubai Miracle Garden in Al Barsha South 3. It is home to more than 15,000 butterflies from over 50 species, spread across 10 custom-built domes with a total area of around 6,673 square metres.
The climate-controlled domes are designed to mimic natural habitats and stay at around 24 to 28 degrees C, with tropical and flowering plants throughout. Butterflies often land on visitors, which makes for good photos. A butterfly museum and info boards explain life cycles, behaviour, metamorphosis and anatomy. As the garden is indoors, it is comfortable to visit all year round, and there are rest areas, cafes, prayer rooms and a children's play zone.
